SERMON OVERVIEW:
In John 14, Jesus explains to His disciples what awaits them following His departure from the world (13:36; 14:1-4). He assures them that they will not be left alone since He will bestow upon them a new, empowered life by sending the Holy Spirit to dwell within them (14:16-17). The ability to genuinely love and obediently follow Christ is made possible only through the promised Spirit of God who now dwells within us (14:15).
