SERMON OVERVIEW:

In John 15:1-2, Jesus introduced the imagery of “The Vine” to teach us about the kind of life He gives to us. As we learned early in this chapter, there were two halves to this image: connection to the vine requires the bearing of fruit, but it also requires pruning by the hand of the vinedresser so that it may bear better fruit (15:2). That idea of pruning is the part of the imagery that Jesus picks up today in the second half of John 15.
