After explaining (John 13-16) and consecrating himself (John 17) for the work of the cross, Jesus shifts his focus to that very task (John 18-20). As we enter chapter 18, we are now officially embarking with Jesus and His disciples on the Road to Redemption. As we begin this journey, the opening section (verses 1-11) serves as a pivotal launchpad, offering us various perspectives on how to interpret Jesus's forthcoming actions.
