SERMON OVERVIEW:

In the text of Revelation 4-6, we see the Kingdom of God being inaugurated as the restoration of all creation is accomplished. As we’ve already seen, the first act of the new King is to turn and entrust that kingdom to those of us who hold membership in it (Rev. 5:10). His second act however, is to bring judgment onto the sinfulness of humanity (the story of judgment occupies much of Revelation 6-19). It’s that story of final judgment that we begin to consider in this chapter.
