A Sanctifying Savior

SERIES: The Gospel of John

MESSAGE: A Sanctifying Savior

TEXT: John 17:16-19

DATE: February 18th, 2024

MESSAGE BY: Pastor Rich Gregory

SERMON OVERVIEW:

Having made it clear that God’s purpose is to display His glory (V. 1, 4-5) as Christ being formed in us (V. 10), the focus of Jesus’ prayer now turns to his followers (V. 9). Considering our critical place within God’s plan, He prays for two things in the following verses: that His followers would be protected (Vv. 11-15) and perfected (Vv. 16-19) by the Father. This week, we look at the way God works in us to make us more like Christ.

SERMON NOTES:

II. Christ’s ___________________ in Sanctification (17:17)
