SERMON OVERVIEW:

Context: Having introduced the Holy Spirit as the gift that enables everything Jesus has said in John 13-16, now He is going to explain to us how the Holy Spirit actually functions. In this text, Jesus begins that explanation by talking about how the Holy Spirit does His work in the world: He goes before us in order to convict the hearts of individuals to make them receptive to the gospel message.
